Jessi was born and raised in Mid-Coast Maine. Once graduated she spent three years living in the southwest while studying creative writing at Prescott College. Missing the ocean and the small town life in Maine, she moved back across the country and finished her English/Literature degree at USM. Jessi has lived on Vinalhaven for five years and would like to make it her permanent home. A humanitarian at heart, she is motivated to, and interested in, giving all that she can to help support the liveliness of the island community, particularly in the field of both informal and formal education. Jessi enjoys music, is moved by the written word, and loves nothing more than being surrounded by good friends, family, and the sea.
Furthermore, she makes a delicious mocha latte and always serves it with a smile.
