ARC habitué Gabe McPhail ponders
the dangers of sesquipedalianism.
Gabe McPhail
General Manager, Programs & Events Coordinator
Gabe McPhail volunteers for the ARC as Book–keeper, Events & Programs Coordinator, Grant Writer, and Promotions Point Person. Occasionally she works behind the counter at the Café, baking date–nut muffins for select clientele. In the real world Gabe wears many different hats. She owns and manages a graphic design business, Workshop31, specializing in promotional materials for small–scale farms. She also works for University of Maine Cooperative Extension, training citizen facilitators with colleague and Extension Educator Jane Haskell.
Most recently Gabe began coordinating FIF (Fox Islands Farms) an initiative of the Maine Farmland Trust, helping farmers to grow more food and providing consumers with easy access to what is produced. For fun Gabe communes with squirrels, plays my little pony, cracks clever code, caches nuts, and works to revive a tiny cottage with her most scientific friend.
