Why Buy VH Grown Food?
YOU'LL STRENGTHEN THE VH ECONOMY
Buying VH grown food keeps your dollars circulating in the VH community. The ARCafé pays VH growers retail prices for their goods in order to ensure they are able to cover costs and make a living farming. We collect a 10% mark-up on all VH grown goods. The money collected is used for low income/fixed income food access programs.

Overall Goals:
The overall objective of the ARC Local Foods Market is to bring fresh, locally grown produce to all members of the community for as much of the year as possible as well as to act as a center for food education and awareness. Public outreach will take the form of a food film series, cultured food workshop, and reading materials and food literacy library. The ARC Local Foods Market aims to take payment from WIC/EBT customers, and will also create a system by which produce is offered at a discounted price to said customers.
